Marlye was on every studio's competition team, as well as High School competitive dance team
and Pom team. In her free time she was trained at age 15 by many of her mentors on how to
teach all styles to all ages. Winning National titles with all High School, Studio, and
Pom teams, she also became very involved in the convention world. Marlye obtained many
scholarships from conventions such as JUMP, MOVE, NRG Dance Project, Titans of Dance,
and The New York Dance Awards. After a childhood of having the opportunity to travel
throughout the country, Marlye then decided to take her career and passion even further by
making the big move to Los Angeles, California to be further involved in the commercial industry.
Immediately signed by Go2Talent Agency, Marlye began assisting top choreographers during class,
and for commercial jobs to learn the ropes of the industry. After just a few months as an
LA resident, she was accepted onto the world famous company “Academy of Villainsâ€.
After performing at VIBE, the company then hired her to tour with them for a month in China,
performing an epic hour long show in 16 different cities. Aside from dance, Marlye has become
fascinated in photography, and has been hired to take photos for the NRG Dance Project tour in
all cities, as well as traveled to Sydney, Australia to not only assist at the Sydney Dance Festival,
but assist in photoshoots as well. Marlye is now a dance teacher/ instructor. She continues her involvement
with conventions, as well as pursues to travel and perform in as many countries as she can.
As much as she loves photography, traveling, and performin... Marlye's greatest passion
will always be teaching the art of dance.
